Programming

2016 Season

The Ottawa Children’s Garden is always open for visitation, and all are welcome. The garden also offers special programs for children and their families, some of which may require registration. We have partnered up with the Old Ottawa East Community Activity Group (CAG) to offer quality programming with lots of hands on fun and educational activities, come and join us!

FAMILY PLAYGROUP AT THE GARDEN

Crafts, education, games, garden sampling, bug hunts and more. Everyone is welcome. Bring your children and enthusiasm and be ready to have fun! Program led by a coordinator, parents/caregivers are encouraged to assist. This program is offered through the Old Ottawa East Community Activity Group (CAG) and registration is required*.

Spring Session

$30/first child, siblings $15.
No fee for siblings under one year old.

Playgroup are rain or shine – we only cancel in a thunderstorm, a make up class will be offered at the end of the session if at all possible in the event of weather cancellations.

The fee supports the garden and ensures ongoing success of playgroups there.  Financial assistance available for residents of Old Ottawa East if required.

CHILDREN’S GARDEN SUMMER CAMP

If your child loves the Children’s Garden this is the camp for you! In the morning we will discover the magic and wonder of the garden through age appropriate activities with Sue from Let’s Talk Science. In the afternoon we will enjoy the park and the wading pool. Children should come with running shoes (rubber boots if it’s wet), hat, sunscreen, lunch, snacks, a water bottle, a bathing suit and a towel.

Program runs from the Brantwood Field House, 39 Onslow crescent (and children will be walking to the Children’s Garden at Main & Clegg)
